Cable management is a critical part of keeping your work station clean and organized. In today's world we tend to have electronic devices in our offices, bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens and even our laundry rooms . . . and with our devices, comes cables.

There's a wide range of products on the market today to help, and as you might expect, a wide range of prices too. Blue Key World sells a simple cable clip organizer that is both effective and inexpensive, and to be fair, they did send us the product to review.

Blue Key World Cable Clip Organizer

Each package comes with 6 cable clips that are round with a large grove. The clip is about an inch in diameter and has a round piece of double sided tape afixed to the bottom.

There's a small white "puzzle piece" logo stamped on one side, however, it can be easily removed by rubbing it with your thumb nail.

Made with pliable rubber material, the clip is sturdy enough to trap cords within the groove, yet it's flexible and won't damage the protective coating on your cords

How to Use

These cable clips are easy to use. Once you determine where you want to attach the clip and ensure that the surface is dry and clean, simply peal off the back of the tape and stick the cable clip in place. Insert your cable into the groove and you're set!

Peel - Stick - Stick

The tape securely sticks on wood, metal, plastic and even glass. The clips can be used to prevent a charging cable from slipping behind a night stand, or to make your cords virtually invisible by running them under an end table. Where ever you have a cord to tame or hide, these handy clips are up for the job.

If you need to remove the clip, the tape peals off relatively easily. By purchasing a role of 3M tape you can reuse the clip and reposition it to another location.

The Pro's

There's a lot to like about these little clips. Here's a list of a few of the things we particularly enjoyed:

  • Small, compact and low profile makes these clips an excellent choice for nearly any task.
  • The groove is large enough to accommodate multiple cables.
  • The clip has a nice quality "feel" and the white puzzle piece logo can be easily removed.
  • The opening of the clip is flexible to allow cords to be easily inserted without nicking or damaging the protective cord casing. Yet, the clip will still securely hold the cable in place.

The Con's

We could only find 2 areas of opportunities with these cable clips, and each of the issues have easy work arounds.

  • Since double sided tape is used to secure the clip, there aren't any "do overs" if your placement is off. However, if you don't have the position right the first time, you can remove the tape and use 3M tape to reposition.
  • Most cable cords have wide connectors that would prevent the cable from slipping thru the clip. However, some 3.5mm audio cables have very small connectors that could fall thru, especially if the clip is mounted vertically. If this is your situation, simply mount the clip turned slightly to the left or right. This should prevent the cord from sliding thru as it'll catch on the edge.

Bottom Line

Keeping your cables organized will not only prevent a tangled mess, but it can also save you time and frustration. Overall, we really like these cable clips and think they're a quality product at a reasonable price.

If you're in the market to organize your work station or tame other cords we think you'll like these cable clip organizers by Blue Key World.
